Default Arcade Masters

It seems like everyday there are more and more arcades entering this rat race. I am not a big corporate online business or anything but anymore it seems like big business is booting everyone out of the market. I believe most of the traffic generated anymore in the arcade world is just other arcade owners looking for links and ranking sites oh and dont forget the bots and spammers. That is my 2 cents hope you liked it.

There will always be a market for arcade sites, just the problem is the Internet is heavily saturated with them. And like you said all the traffic is just from another site typically, which equalates to users coming once and never returning. The key to success here is SEO or unqiue features/content (not games, there's thousands of games out there, noboby cares if you have a few unique games). Just what I think...

That may be true but most arcade sites doesn't go for search engine traffic and participating in traffic exchanges with other arcades which doesn't help them at all. This is why most arcades out there can't even make at least $50 a month. They're too caught up with the basics.

Yup, novice webmasters also need to learn that they need to sacrifice. They say, oh i wanna be the site with no cluttered links!! Well people gotta know your site exists, lol a sacrifice indeed. THen when you got the steady traffic, then you can slowly take down the extra trading links.

That's a great way to do it. Work on getting a lot more quality links as well as it benefits you much sooner than having thousands of low quality sites linking to you.

Default Arcade Dance

Well looks like there is alot more traffic on this forum since I visited last. I see a few have left comments about this article. Mostly I believe yes arcades are a flooded market I make 50 bucks off of a pr 4 3k visitors a day mostly b/c the ads market for arcades is extremely poor. I am starting my ringtone site up again soon, it is a way better market not many people own ringtone sites that are free and I make a great deal more on ads. I will still continue to run arcades but I have learned a great deal about making money on the internet. I now am marketing to company's instead of the poor 5 year old. Companys have deep pockets and big money not the poor minimum wage web surfer. 5 cent advise follow the money not the crowd.
